Can a Down Comforter be washed in washing device

1 of the issues with washing a down comforter is that the down will clump with each other. The idea of using tennis balls (or dryer balls) in the dryer will help with that. Also, using a commercial large-capacity washer and dryer will work to stop clumping as well.

Make certain you use cold water and gentle detergent, such as Woolite. If you have any stains on the comforter, treat them prior to washing with one of the oxygenated pretreaters (I favor Sun, but Oxy-Clean works well too, it just much more expensive than Sun).

To make your comforter last lengthier, use a duvet cover. If you truly low on funds, you can make a duvet go over by sewing two flat sheets with each other. If you not much for sewing, just use the sheets under and over the comforter to protect it from spills, perspiration and other foolishness that can get on bedclothes.

If you in a good enough weather, try just airing out the comforter outside. It incredible what new air and sunshine can do. Try spraying it lightly with a material refresher such as Febreeze before putting it outside (as lengthy as it not beneath freezing). As long as the comforter isn heavily dirty, this should function just as nicely, if not better than, washing in a device.
